Setup Telemetry

Track your AI coding assistant usage and compete on the global leaderboard.

Get the CLI

You can run the CLI directly using npx (no installation required):

$ npx crank-cli --help

Authenticate

Run the login command and follow the instructions to authenticate with your X (Twitter) account:

$ npx crank-cli login

This will open a browser window where you can authorize the CLI using a device code.

Start Tracking

The CLI will automatically track your token usage when you use AI coding assistants:

$ npx crank-cli setup

This starts tracking and reports metrics to the leaderboard in real-time.

How it Works

  • The CLI tracks token usage from your AI coding sessions
  • Token counts (input, output, cache) are automatically captured and reported
  • Your API keys and message content are never stored - only token metrics
  • View your stats in real-time on the leaderboard
